Veterinary Dentistry

Studies show that good dental care can add up to 5 years to your pet’s life. Veterinary dentistry is one of the most important and overlooked areas of pet health. More than seventy percent of cats and eight percent of dogs show signs of oral disease by the age of 3. Pet dental disease doesn’t affect just the mouth. It can lead to more serious health problems including heart, liver, and kidney disease.

Preventative care including frequent brushing, the use of dental rinses in the drinking water, prescription diets and professional dental prophylaxis can keep your pets teeth healthy. These things should be started at a young age to ensure success.

Our hospital provides total dental care should your pet need a trip to the vet because of their teeth. Our veterinary technicians scale and polish your pet’s teeth and our veterinarians treat diseased teeth or can extract them if necessary.
